Role:


Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Services, the Corporate Services Admin assists with the collection of information related to Information Management Technologies (IMT) equipment and the disposition of surplus government assets across the province.


The Corporate Services Admin is responsible for consulting with internal and external stakeholders to collect and disseminate information related to IMT to support program areas and for working with the business areas and Service Alberta Surplus Sales to surplus government assets in a one-time clean-up of province wide office spaces to make spaces available for their intended purposes.

The main responsibilities for the Corporate Services Admin are (but not limited to):

  • Collect, track, and manage data related to IMT.
  • Validate inventory of computer equipment (laptops and desktops), network and desktop printers, VOIP phones and mobile devices across the province.
  • Identify related information for evergreening, cost savings, and multiple device users.
  • Identify surplus items, collect information, enter assets into the Online Surplus Sales Information (OSSI) System, work with Declaring Officers as required, and coordinate with external stakeholders for pickups.
  • Disseminate instructions for surplus data collection, travel dates and advise.

  • Coordinate decommissioning of miscellaneous computer equipment or mobile devices.

Qualifications:


Required:


  • High School Diploma supplemented with a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience with data entry, surplus and administration.
  • Related postsecondary administrative training is an asset.
  • Class 5 Driver's License required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Equivalency:
Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

  • 1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
  • 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.

Desired:


  • Knowledge and understanding of computer equipment, printer devices, mobile devices, and surplus. Prior work experience in any of these settings will be considered as significant assets.
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills, including the ability to recommend viable and effective administrative solutions and compile, summarize and coordinate information.
