Description
The Ministry of the Attorney General requires one permanent and one temporary counsel to provide advice to the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing.

What can I expect to do in this role?: Duties will include:
- Supporting policy and program development, briefing senior ministry staff, drafting legislation, regulations, opinions, agreements, and ministerial orders
- Providing expert, riskbased legal advice on municipal and planning matters
How do I qualify?:
Mandatory:
- Membership in good standing as a lawyer with the Law Society of Ontario
Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive experience with the Municipal Act, the City of Toronto Act and other related municipal legislation, real estate and land development law
- Legal drafting experience; demonstrated ability to handle a highvolume practice and work productively and independently in a high pressure team environment
- Excellent judgment and organizational, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; strong client service orientation
