Shermco Canada is seeking a Wind Field Technician._

Wind Field Technician
Due to continued growth, Shermco is seeking a Wind Field Technician to work on all aspects of wind turbines.

Responsibilities:

Provide skilled technical assistance, quality service and advice on technical projects to Shermco clients while maintaining an absolute commitment to safety
Provide clients with recommendations for possible repairs or upgrades required through assessing technical issues on site
Assist other technical staff with technical problems, project management issues and meeting safety requirements
Be responsible for managing multiple small jobs through coordinating the effective use of technical staff, equipment and other resources, ensuring jobs are completed to client standards, and enforcing Shermco policies and procedures
Provide mentorship, support and learning opportunities to junior technical staff, as well as handson site training on technical procedures
Contribute expertise to projects involving transformer testing, industrial plant and utility relaying protection, metering schemes, switchgear testing/maintenance, power system design and/or turnkey substations

Qualifications:

A Certificate for Wind Turbine Technician, Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, degree in Electrical Engineering, PSE designation, or Journeyperson Red Seal Ticket
Experience in Wind Field Technician role will be considered an asset
NETA certification is considered an asset
Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
Must have a valid driver's license and able to maintain a clean abstract
Must be available to work outoftown and regular overnight travel

Other Requirements:

Ability to climb up to a 140meter wind tower
Excellent organization, time management and negotiation skills
Strong leadership capabilities
Exceptional technical, analytical and numerical skills
Team player who will be committed to success of the team and organization
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commitment to customer satisfaction
