is currently assessing bids and proposals within the organization and we are seeking individuals who are qualified and interested in joining our team in the role of:


Role:
Project Manager


Location:
St. John's, NL (Office - then out on rotation)

Reporting to the Construction Operations Lead, the Project Manager is responsible for:

  • Actively manage and coordinate the activities of all stakeholders on site, including staff, trades, and subcontractor representatives;
  • Motivating and leading all stakeholders, engaging all members to their best;
  • Monitor and lead any corrective action steps to keep the project on time and within target gross margin;
  • Assist in the resolution of change requests, unforeseen incidents/additional work and/or other issues;
  • Ongoing monitoring of progress and costs on all work scopes and provide regular progress reporting to clients;
  • Attend and maintain client relations, including weekly and monthly meetings;
  • Review construction plans for compliance with all proper safety and quality procedures;
  • Preparing and maintain timely and accurate documentation, reports, and other materials;
  • Tracking and reviewing quotes, estimates, changes, and requests for payment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or technical diploma in engineering or engineering technology, or a combination of education and experience;
  • 15+ years construction engineering experience required;
  • Past experience leading multimillion project scopes, preferrable in an industrial environment;
  • Experience working and motivating staff and trades teams;
  • Able to identify budget and project costs and recommend options to mitigate project delays;
  • Knowledge of design build and other alternative build techniques;
  • Knowledge of financial reporting methods, quantity tracking methods and cost coding;
  • Knowledge of construction scheduling and production time management preferred;
  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others;
  • Possess verbal, written and presentation skills.

Project Information:

  • Scheduled work rotation: Initially Office based, then likely to move to a two weeks on, two weeks off rotation.
  • Flights will be provided by the Company.
