Description

SMD Automotive is looking for an Automotive Shop Assistant to join our team.

Job duties for shop assistant include;

Performing routine automotive maintenance tasks
Job will mainly entail vehicle tire changes, tire repairs, oil changes and entry level repairs
Maintaining a clean and safe workplace, daily shop cleaning and maintenance jobs
Will lead to work on engines, brakes, steering, and automotive electrical systems

Qualifications:

Has to have automotive knowledge and some experience in service and repair.
Pays attention to detail and focus on the job at hand
Own tools would be an asset, but we have all the tools necessary to perform repairs
Reliable and efficient
Good time management and customer service skills
Red Seal preferred but not required

We offer:
4 x 10 hour work day, 3 day weekends

Heated enclosed workshop with automatic doors

Large workshop space

Will consider Permanent Residence sponsorship, but must have a valid work visa in Canada. We do not have staff accommodation services.

Salary:
From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
