Position Overview

Education and Qualifications
- have graduated from a Primary Care Paramedic diploma program;
- currently hold a valid Advanced Emergency Medical Care Assistant Certificate;
- have experience working as a Primary Care Paramedic and maintained their paramedic skill set;
- have familiarity with Private Career Colleges and the Private Career Colleges Act (asset);
- be familiar with the Accessibility of Ontarians with Disabilities Act (asset);
- succeed with computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, Google Mail, Docs and Calendar, Skype, Adobe, and Moodle;
- conduct themselves professionally at all times;
- be able to communicate effectively with internal staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure students are being taught in accordance with approved curriculum
Participate in the student appeal process when required
Submit monthly reports to the program coordinator
Teach students using a systematic plan that consists of lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups, interactive activities, independent and group projects
Use instruction techniques/methods that recognize and take into account needs and learning capacities of students, and modify when needed in response to students of needs
Maintain fair, firm and consistent discipline with the students
Regularly monitor student progress and adjust courses accordingly
