Fitness Centre Coordinator
Are you a fitness enthusiast with a passion for helping others achieve their wellness goals? Are
you looking to kickstart your career in the fitness industry? Join our team as a Full Time, Fitness
Centre Coordinator and play a role in supporting the operations and member experience of our
vibrant facility.

As a Fitness Centre Coordinator, you will work closely with our Fitness Centre Manager and team
to ensure the smooth operation of our fitness programs and services. This is an exciting
opportunity to learn the ropes of the fitness industry, engage with members, and contribute to
creating a welcoming and motivating environment for all.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in leading in the daytoday operation of the Fitness Centre;
  • Coordinate the conditioning room staffing and group fitness schedule;
  • Track monthly personal training revenue;
  • Assist in marketing strategies for membership and personal training;
  • Assist in administrative Fitness Centre duties;
  • Builds relationships with community stakeholders for partnership opportunities;
  • Troubleshoot program interruptions;
  • Assist in providing leadership and quarterly training to all Fitness Centre staff;
  • Develop and maintain a strategy for managing relationship with members; and building
- relationships with members in all areas of the facility;
  • Provide direct program leadership to a variety of program areas and lead by example;
  • Lead in the handling of code of conduct violations for users within the conditioning room;
  • Lead customer service experience initiatives in the conditioning room;
  • Oversee the ongoing preventative maintenance of conditioning room equipment and help
- manage long-term maintenance plan;
  • Support special events and projects;
  • Assist in conducting yearly program quality audits;
  • Understand, support and adhere to Company policies, programs, and procedures;
  • Comply with all legislative requirements (e.g. Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human
Rights Code, Employment Standards, Act, 2000, etc.)


What We Need From You:

  • Degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Recreation or related field;
  • Current Personal Training or FIS Certification;
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification;
  • Must have strong administration skills with attention to detail;
  • Must be able to deal with sensitive issues in an appropriate manner;
  • Must be proactive when initiating improvement projects;
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and timelines;
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
  • Enthusiasm for learning and growing in a dynamic fitness environment;
  • Must be available to work flexible hours (5am12am) and weekends. Tentative schedule
is Sunday to Thursday from 2pm-10pm.
