We are looking for a highly capable Maintenance Coordinator to be located out of our Cambridge location in Ontario.


Miller Waste Systems is looking for a Maintenance Coordinator with 2+ years of experience in the heavy truck/transportation industry and with 2+ years of maintenance scheduling and records experience.

A collaborative but strong nature is essential, and the applicant's background in maintenance and the transportation industry will allow them to succeed and grow within Miller Waste.


Responsibilities:

In the position of Maintenance Coordinator, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Must adhere to Miller Waste System safety protocols and must be familiar with occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Liaising with drivers when they bring in pre & post trip inspection reports.
  • Create and close out work orders as well as maintain the preventative maintenance schedules and repairs for waste vehicles using fleet maintenance software.
  • Daily unit down lists, as well as contacting outside vendors to obtain updates on truck repairs being conducted offsite.
  • Organize maintenance documents to ensure complete vehicle records are available at all times.
  • Will be required to complete other duties as assigned

Requirements:


The successful applicant will be comfortable with prioritization, planning, coordination, and organization, with an ability to respond and adapt in changing, high pressure environments.

This individual will be able to assess problem situations, recognize issues, and use judgment to create solutions that meet required standards.


  • Strong computer knowledge as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Your ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment is key as well as working in a team environment.
  • Must be available to work late when trucks are behind schedule, as well you may be required to work weekends and holidays.
  • Previous experience in a Service Advisor role is an asset for this position.
  • Previous experience with Fleet Maintenance Pro is a definite asset.
  • Valid and clean drivers license.


Flexibility is also required as this position occasionally requires travel, early starts, late finishes and, on rare occasions, weekend work.
