Carpenters Regional Council Local 1985 is looking for a Carpentry Foreperson with experience in formwork and concrete restoration in an industrial setting.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and supervise onsite construction activities, including carpentry, formwork, and other scopes as required.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
  • Monitor project progress and quality, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and meetings to review project status, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Manage project documentation, including daily reports, progress photos, and change orders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve conflicts and maintain positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 510 years of experience in construction management, with a focus onsite supervision.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of carpentry, formwork, and other construction methods and techniques in an industrial setting.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
