- Develop and execute evolving territory/account business plans to expand sales funnel, accurately forecast quarterly orders and sales within SFDC.
- Cultivate strong business relationships with a network of key decision makers to generate new future business opportunities working with account manager, field application scientists and other sales specialists to acquire alignments across the business.
- Provide product demonstrations, internal/external trainings, seminars, and workshops.
- Provide technical application support for product portfolio and customer workflows.
- Track and communicate market trends to/from field including competitive data, to understand and demonstrate a sustainable competitive advantage. Maintain up to date detailed knowledge of product, market, industry, and key customers.
- BS degree Life/Physical Sciences discipline; MS or Ph.D. degree preferred.
- 4 plus years of Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology and/or Life Sciences industry experience with preferred commercial sales experience or transition from the laboratory, technical support, and/or field applications support.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills. Practical experience organizing and delivering technical presentations, seminars and/or support product demonstrations.
- Must live within and be able to travel within assigned territory.
- Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Highly desired experience includes practical laboratory work in antibody purification; western blotting and imaging; analysis of molecular interactions, including protein–protein interactions; biophysical characterization; and a broad range of bioanalytical techniques. Experience in both clinical and pre-clinical monitoring and characterization of antibodies is also strongly preferred.

Role
The Discovery Canada Research Hardware Sales Specialist responsible for driving sales revenues, achieving quarterly/annual targets while meeting growth and profitability goals for the ÄKTA, Biacore, and Imaging product range in the assigned territory. This position reports to the Protein Research Zone Leader and is part of the Cytiva Discovery Team located in Canada and will be working remotely to cover Canada.

The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $135,000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance to eligible employees.
