CNC Machine Operator
Responsible for safe operation of CNC machines
Job Duties
- Maintains safe operations at all times and ensure all regulatory and company QHSE standards and practices are adhered to.
- Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, specifications, location of surfaces, and machining parameters, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- Follow machining instructions, set zero and reference points as required, adjust tool offsets, calculating requirements including basic math, geometry and trigonometry, proving part programs.
- Loads machine by lifting stock into position.
- Verifies settings by measuring firstrun part and sample work pieces.
- Deburr final machine pieces:
- Maintains specifications by observing machine operations, detecting malfunctions and trouble shooting processes.
- Documents and communicates actions, irregularities, and continuing needs through production and quality logs
- Participates in educational opportunities.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives as directed by management
- Assists with preventative maintenance program on all machinery.
Responsibilities
- Practice workplace professionalism
- Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment
- Start all shifts and endall breaks punctually
- Accurately interpret and carry out directions from work orders, sketches and verbal instructions
- Operate lifting devices such as overhead cranes
- Fill out quality forms prior to and following machining to ensure specifications are met and a daily product sheet
- Maintain highquality standards and detect abnormal running conditions; be able to troubleshoot and innovate
- Have 100% knowledge of operation and interpretation of any measuring tool required to perform CNC operator duties (caliper, od/id micrometer, height gage, thread wires, thread gages, etc.)
- Work with mínimal supervision while adhering to workplace protocols
- Work in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines assigned by management
- Routinely lift and move materials up to 3050lbs, perform physically repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and be a team player
- Steeltoed safety boots required
Experience Qualifications and Related Skills or Requirements:
- Minimum 1 years' CNC machine experience
- CNC Lathe and Mill Experience an asset
- CNC Certificate an asset
- Knowledge of machine tooling
Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent
Hours of Work (Day Shift): 6:00 a.m. - 4:30pm p.m. Monday-Thursday
