Description

BOMImed Inc., a Winnipeg based, medical device manufacturer and distributor of airway management, anesthesia, critical care, warming therapy and diagnostic devices, is looking for another Machine Operator to join our growing manufacturing department.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain and repair manufacturing and production line equipment (automation, corrugation/extrusion, injection molding and other peripheral equipment) and production equipment (baggers, conveyor belt and peripheral equipment) in a team atmosphere
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all production and manufacturing equipment
  • Work with Operations, Engineering and Quality teams in maintaining daily production needs
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as overhead cranes, chain hoist, jacks, fork life, etc. to position machinery and parts during the installation, setup and repair of machinery.
  • Maintain industry best practices to ensure a safe working environment
  • Ensure BOMImed's product quality standards are met

Skills Required:


  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate all hand tools, power tools and automated machinery
  • Strong practical "hands on" skills and mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail, maintaining high quality workmanship
  • Demonstrate strong time management, organization and prioritizing ability
  • Capable of lifting 50 LBS

Education & Experience

  • Manufacturing Technician certification or equivalent experience
  • Machine and maintenance experience
  • Experience with plastics (injection molding, automation, extrusion) is an asset

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
From $17.00 per hour

  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
