Description
IronOak Games is seeking a talented and enthusiastic QA Tester to join our team in Vancouver.

We are looking for somebody to help share responsibility for validating that our titles are market ready and free of issues.

This role is ideal for a tester from a large organization that is looking for a more hands-on role that allows them to work closely with the developers and game designers.

Not only will you be testing our games, but your feedback on all related areas will be extremely valuable and has the potential to help shape our games.

What You Will Do

  • Testing different versions of the game predominantly on the PC platform as a functional tester
  • Smoke testing to ensure we are providing reliable, stable builds on a consistent basis
  • Support the development team to test new features as they are implemented
  • Recreate bugs and provide information to the dev team to assist with fixing problems
  • Logging issues within JIRA that follow our bug reporting guidelines
  • Execute regression tests to validate new features/changes do not adversely affect existing features
  • Retesting issues once they are resolved, including regression testing
  • Contributing to establishing efficient test plans and scripts
  • Collaborating with our firstparty publisher QA teams to ensure efficient test coverage, including multiplayer testing
  • Maintaining JIRA bug database to ensure the project is clean and up to date

Requirements:


What we are looking for

  • 2+ year experience in functional testing for video games
  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, or similar bug tracking tools
  • The ability to execute structured test plans
  • High attention to detail
  • A passion for games and game development
  • The ability to writeup a bug report in a concise but informative fashion
  • Good communication skills with ability to interact well with programmers, artists, and other specialists

Helpful Skills

  • Familiar with For the King and the land of Fahrul
  • Experience with Unity
  • Understanding of various testing methodologies

$51,000.00-$62,000.00 per year
