Duties:

Reporting to the Program Coordinator, this position is responsible for maintenance of departmental computer labs (hardware and software) and equipment, and for assisting faculty in preparation and delivery of lab-based computer instruction


Specific responsibilities include:

installing, upgrading and troubleshooting computer hardware and software within the ITAS environment; assisting students in the installation, upgrading and troubleshooting of computer hardware and software within the ITAS environment; providing support for faculty in researching and assessing hardware and software to support the ITAS curriculum; supporting the preparation and delivery of lab-based computer instruction by: assisting faculty in the development of lab-based information technology curriculum, assisting faculty in the delivery of lab-based computer instruction, supervising and assisting students within a lab-based computer instruction environment, and assisting in the design and delivery of web-based instructional materials including database & network technical support.


Required Qualifications:

Diploma in Information Technology from an appropriately accredited institution with minimum 2 years of recent related work experience. Experience with installation and administration of Windows and Linux client and server operating systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

BSc degree in Information Technology from an appropriately accredited institution. Experience designing, generating, and implementing new curriculum. Recent experience installing and maintaining Moodle or other course management systems. Experience securing enterprise systems and setting up networks. Java & SQL programming experience could be useful.
