Equipment/Shop Manager

Currently operating in its 50th year, Foundex is recruiting an Equipment/Shop Manager for full-time employment at our Abbotsford HQ
.

Minimum Class 3 driver's license
Daily transportation to shop/site
Field repair experience
Automotive experience
Good knowledge of both diesel and gasoline engines
Familiarity with air compressor repairs
An excellent understanding of hydraulic systems for troubleshooting and repair
Working knowledge of drilling rigs would be an asset
Computer skills a must: Excel, Word, Outlook
Lead safety meetings as required

Typical Duties would include but are not limited to:

The Equipment/Shop Manager position would also include purchasing
Truck and Equipment Rentals for projects:
Inventory in the shop for fasteners, metal, oils and greases, filters etc.
Project supplies that are developed in a mobilization list, done by others
Assist in acquiring quotations for project estimates and/or bids when required by the estimating department
Work with office staff to ensure our fleet maintenance program is up to date with any recent repairs or servicing
Scheduling mobile equipment for the annual structural inspections
Maintain current CVIP on our mobile equipment
Monitor the repairs done by the drillers to make sure they are done correctly as well as provide them with support.
Lead safety meetings as required
Assist in our yearly inventory count

Typical hours will be 8 am-5 pm Monday to Friday with OT dependent on rig and equipment schedules. Occasional situations may call for out of town travel

You will need:

Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver's license with driver abstract
Must be drugfree and able to pass a drug test
Ability to travel domestically and work out of town if required
Strong mechanical skills
Strong commitment to safety
