The 1A Risk and Control Business Oversight team is the first line of contact for businesses across CPB Operations providing leadership, expertise and oversight of highly visible activities related to Internal/External Audit reviews, Operational Risk Programs and Control Partner Engagements.

This role will report to the Senior Manager of 1A Risk and Control Business Oversight, CPB Operations - Shared Services, and will be responsible for supporting the Control Partner Engagement pillar and coordinating 1B Governance and Control risk activities within CPB Operations team, including but not limited to:

  • Supporting EUC's/Tools inventory oversight
  • Assisting with regulatory control mapping and testing
  • Providing tracking and reporting support
  • Standardizing CPB Operations Controls & Procedures
  • External or internal Audit Exams

Requirements:


  • Currently enrolled in an
    undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Data, Business/Commerce or related field; with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term
  • Strong understanding of technology controls for internal tools.
  • Understanding of Control partner programs and control disciplines such as control design and process mapping.
  • Excellent Microsoft knowledge and experience.
  • Experience with Confluence and JIRA tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to deal with conflicting points of view and to effect creative and responsive solutions
  • Ability to assimilate and understand high volume of complex information and the ability to communicate in a concise and simple manner
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Previous experience in Governance and Control, Compliance, AML, Privacy, Operational Risk Management or Audit is an asset.

  • This position is a 4month work term and will commence
