    Position: Registered Nurse

    Department: Emergency

    Status: Permanent Part-time (must provide availability of up to 0.6 FTE)

    Hours: Various rotating 12 hour shifts -- Days and Nights; – and - (hours subject to change based on operational requirements)

    This is what you'll be doing:

    To provide optimum total patient care including cardiac monitoring, BCLS, and other related duties as assigned.

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Excellent patient assessment skills
  • Advanced clinical skills with recent medical/surgical experience
  • Ability to make autonomous decisions
  • Flexibility to meet unit needs with respect to patient care and technology
  • A commitment to continual learning and a willingness to grow professionally
  • Current BCLS required at time of hire
  • Current ACLS required at time of hire and ongoing
  • Coronary Care I & II, Patient Assessment required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team
  • Recent Emergency experience required
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of this position
  • Satisfactory attendance and employment record
  • The ideal candidate is strong in patient centered care in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and should be ready to drive change and innovation. We require a person with good communication skills with a clear patient focus with the ability to manage execution and to foster teamwork and cooperation.

    Salary : $33.26 to $54.37 per hour
