Position Summary:


The HR Coordinator is a member of the HR team responsible for the delivery of HR programs, services and support to the Canadian business units and functions.

This position can be located in close proximity to the following locations:

  • Toronto (GTA), ON
  • Ottawa, ON
  • Vancouver, BC
  • Calgary, AB
  • Montreal, QC
  • Gatineau, QC

Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for providing support to the Human Resource Business Partners in their daytoday delivery of HR programs, services and support to all the business units and functions across Canada (Ontario, Western Provinces, Quebec).
  • Recruitment:
  • Lead the recruitment process for Hourly employees across Canada leveraging the Ceridian Dayforce Recruitment module (post, prescreen, schedule interviews, offer letters, etc.).
  • Attend job fairs, school recruitment, etc.
  • Ceridian/HRIS:
  • Backup to the HR Benefits Coordinator for the dataentry of all employees into Ceridian.
  • Dataenter and maintaining employee files, both electronic and paper.
  • Onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  • Assist in managing disability claims with our external provider.
  • Collaborate in the delivery of HR programs and initiatives.
  • HR Policies and Program research.
  • Employee Handbook, etc.
  • Training.
  • Assisting in responding to general employee concerns and requests, ensuring appropriate followup and responsiveness.
  • Maintains current knowledge of HR best practices.
  • Supports and contributes to the success of the HR team by performing other HR related tasks.

Qualifications:


  • College and/or University Degree in Human Resources.
  • Certificate in HR management or administration.
  • HR Certification an asset.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience.

  • English (spoken and written).
  • Functional French (spoken and written).
  • Passionate about Human Resources.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Results driven, high performing, collaborative, shows initiative, proactive.
  • Can handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Advanced Microsoft MS Excel, PowerPoint, applicant tracking systems, Social Media, LinkedIn, Indeed Sourcing, Facebook, etc.
  • Knowledge and use of Ceridian Dayforce and/or a related HRIS.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to work in a team and individually.
  • Flexibility to adapt work schedule as required.
  • Sense of responsibility and organization.
  • Trustworthy, dependable, and discreet.
  • Detail oriented, accurate, organized, and flexible., and can maintain organizational data
  • Self-Starter with strong ethical standards.
  • Creative problem solver, solutions focused.
  • Basic knowledge of HR principles and practices.
