Primary Objective of the Position:

The Planning Technical Records Administrator duties include, maintenance planning and work order control, maintaining and updating aircraft technical records. Due to the legal requirements for data accuracy, significant diligence and attention to detail is required.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Accurately maintain and update maintenance plans for company and contracted aircraft.
  • Create, maintain and adjust aircraft inspection packages. (Set up of work cards, check sheets, inspections).
  • Generate and review forecast reporting of maintenance requirements based on expected flying schedules to ensure work is accomplish in a timely manner to meet compliance and cost goals.
  • Maintain work cards, check sheets and other inspection sheets.
  • Liaison with Material Stores for Parts and Tooling capabilities and availability.
  • Coordinate with the operation's group to maximize ground time opportunities for maintenance requirements to minimize operations disruptions.
  • Effectively coordinate with other departments, ensuring all elements of the scheduled work is met.
  • Escalate unresolved planning or scheduling issues to the Manager.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety issues including the support of the SMS program.
  • Auditing and assisting Records Administrator with completed aircraft maintenance paperwork, along with other departments to correct discrepancies.
  • Assist in implementation of Records/Planning system and setting up various aircraft inspections and special requirements.
  • Maintain and administer the aircraft record keeping process in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARS) into the aircraft software management program.
  • Stay current with all company and regulatory training required to function in the assigned role.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of the airline operational environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and Adobe programs.
  • Must be, detailoriented, accurate, well organized and have the ability to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with changing priorities.
  • Good working knowledge of airline standards and regulations.
  • Knowledge of Line Maintenance and Heavy Maintenance aircraft check procedures/requirements is an asset.
