The GCTech Agile Coach will serve as the leader for the Governance pillar within GCTech GLH influencing and ensuring agile standards, role development plans, and agile maturity support is managed with cohesion.

As the Agility Governance Lead, your objective is to establish an agility driven strategy and vision for the teams and leadership to rely upon as a role model and "north star." Driving out a united partnership so that the Agility Governance provides a means for centralized key standards, while still enabling autonomy for localized agile optimization within each respective area.


The GCTech Agile Coach should be a growth minded leader, committed to relentless improvement, and deliver with the highest level of transparency to support high collaboration and communication.

Serve as the communicator of the Agile Community to both provide oversight of GC Tech changes, and best practices and agile enhancements.

Relied upon as the resident expert of agile within GC Tech and GLH.


Ways of Working Strategies and Principles

  • Develop and implement a governance framework in alignment with Office of the CIO (OCIO) for the prioritization of work items.
  • Provide input and contribute to the creation of resource/workforce management processes, leveraging central OCIO standards and tooling, to manage operational and delivery capacity and demand within the business unit.
  • Drives organizational change, in addition to Agile best practices and capabilities within the team, enabling the team to adopt and take ownership of their individual roles.
  • Lead the Agile Transformation, including value stream identification, optimization, and use of scaling methods.
  • Serve as the Product Owner for the Agility Transformation backlog to ensure the team is focused on the highest valued items.
  • Lead the development of Transformation Roadmap, Guiding Vision, Expedition Canvas etc.
  • Support and coach the cocreation of Guiding Vision, Transformation Roadmap and Expedition Canvas and Lead the implementation (Expedition and Iterations).
  • Standardize tooling, processes, and best practices to support streamlined workflow.
  • Establish consistency and clarity of expectations for scaling agile practices, reporting and metric aggregation, agile discipline, and career development.
  • Establish and mature the capability for crossportfolio work intake management including development, health, and maintenance work.

Embedding New Ways of Working

  • Implement and maintain work management standards within existing tools (e.g., JIRA boards).
  • Create templates as needed for processes and ceremonies.
  • Responsible for facilitation and/or driving continuous improvement across GCTech within the Agility Governance pillar with a persistent roadmap to drive those efforts by.
  • Maintains and updates the Agile Playbook, and Agile Confluence Site.
  • Create and maintain Agile metrics dashboards and reporting at both team level and program/transformation level.
  • Facilitates the change to new ways of working and supports teams to navigate through the rough patches, common roadblocks, and pain points (especially early in the adoption process).
  • Supports team cohesiveness and enables Scrum Master, Product Owner and other roles to effectively perform their duties
  • Support the continued improvement of maturity of the operating model through formal guidance, coaching and measurement/assessment to identify gaps and tools and training needs.
  • Supports Agile tool adoption and consistent utilization of tools, terminology, and practices across teams and leadership with PMO Leads and Technology Leadership Team

Operational and Continuous Improvement

  • Leverage metrics for continuous improvement, and thoughtful data inspired decisions
  • Improvement in process adherence leading to business value
  • Establish and mature dynamic reporting capabilities that support operational performance metrics for the business unit.
  • Operational and delivery metrics related to new ways of working.
  • Operational and delivery performance metrics such as rate of work completion, overall delivery performance and health metrics, and delivery compliance
  • Benefits measurement and tracking of actual business value delivered vs planned


Establish the capability to develop, administer and provide ongoing support and maintenance for dashboarding and reporting using technologies like PowerBI / EazyBI.
