Bindery Operator passionate about the printing industry, to join their team at their facility located on the South Shore, in Boucherville.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION

Reporting to the Binding department Supervisor, the
Bindery Operator will be part of the bindery department (stitchers, baggers, gluers, knives).

This person will be responsible for ensuring the execution of assembly, cutting and folding operations, while respecting the company's policies and practices, especially when it comes to health & safety measures.

YOUR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:
Prepare the equipment and peripherals by making the necessary mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic and computer adjustments;

Operate the equipment according to the customer's expectations;
Mobilize and coordinate the work of assigned personnel;
Ensure the proper functioning of the equipment entrusted to him/her;
Supply the equipment with the appropriate sections;
Ensure the quality of the finished product;
Ensure a clean and safe work environment;
Respect health and safety rules;
Perform maintenance and clean up when equipment is shut down;
And other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE:

Relevant experience as an operator in a high volume printing plant;
Knowledge of the graphic production process;
3 to 5 years experience on a knife (guillotine), bagger, stitcher, Perfect Bind;
French intermediate level required.
