This is a 4-month paid student internship.


As the Finance Intern, you will support the Accounts Receivable Team and play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounts receivable processes.

This position requires a strong aptitude for numbers, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

The Finance Intern will perform daily reconciliation of accounts receivable transactions, review and monitor outstanding accounts receivable balances, investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts receivable, assist with cash collection efforts and follow up on overdue payments.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure deadlines are met, and invoices are issued and submitted to the clients.
  • Review and monitor outstanding accounts receivable balances.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts receivable.
  • Generate and analyze reports to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
  • Assist with cash collection efforts and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Manage the relationship with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any disputes or billing inquiries.

Qualifications:


Experience:


  • Must possess accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
  • Strong Excel skills (eg./ vlookups, pivot tables, filters, etc.)

Personal Attributes:


  • Excellent communication skills, writing and verbal to handle meetings with internal and external clients.
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to communicate properly internally with the sales team and externally with clients.
  • Organization skills are important to handle the level of information in the entire portfolio of clients assigned.
  • Problem solving skills are key to resolve the daytoday situations with clients.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fastpaced environment.

Education:


  • Enrolled in College/University majoring in Finance, Accounting or related areas.
