Summary:
The work schedule for this position is Full Time (40 hours per week).

This position requires afterhours and weekend overtime as needed.

Duties:


Serves as the principal authority and technical advisor on all facility operations, maintenance, repair, and minor construction portfolio of U.S.

government-owned, short term, and long term leased properties.

Manages and supervises the operation and maintenance program for all facilities to include developing budgets, producing assessment reports and contract scopes of work for repair, improvement, or renovation projects.


Qualifications and Evaluations:


  • Requirements:

EXPERIENCE:
At least five years of experience within facilities management (including four years in building maintenance trades). At least two years of experience as a facilities manager.

  • Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, civil, facility management, or another engineering field.

  • Evaluations:

LANGUAGE:
Level IV (fluent) reading/writing/speaking English is required. This may be tested.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and to be able to effectively communicate with individuals of all ranks.
  • Ability to multitask and to manage personnel. Must be able to work independently including setting priority for self and subordinate staff.
  • Ability to communicate easily with various employees from Department of State (DOS) and international organizations.
  • Ability to work in a range of environments (inside/out/cold/hot/rainy/dusty/loud and from heights (ladder, scaffold, roofs).

The pay plan is assigned at the time of the conditional offer letter by the HR Office.
