The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) is a regulatory agency that reports to the Ministry of the Attorney General.

The AGCO is responsible for regulating the alcohol, gaming, horseracing, and private cannabis retail sectors in Ontario, in accordance with the principles of honesty and integrity, and in the public interest.

The Change Management Office is seeking a Change Management Associate to join their team.

Reporting to the Manager, Change Management, the position will support the implementation of change initiatives within the AGCO by assisting in the development, implementation and coordination of change management strategies and activities.


  • Use a systematic change management approach to lead change management activities on smallscale projects (i.e., narrow scope, limited impact, low risk), working closely with the Project Management Office (PMO), Communications, and Organizational Development (OD) Teams to ensure transparent communication and readiness among staff.
  • Support the Manager or Senior Manager in largescale corporate change initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and materials aimed at building change management competencies across the AGCO, in collaboration with the OD Team.
  • Lead and facilitate group discussions for purposes of knowledge sharing, including best practices and lessons learned related to change management. (i.e., Change Champion meetings, People Leaders training etc.).
  • Conduct research on industry trends, best practices and emerging methodologies related on organizational change.
  • Maintain and update CMOled change management training materials, including eLearning module, PMO training and People Leaders training, as necessary.
  • Coordinate Change Champion Network meetings and maintain Change Champion Network webpage content.
  • Recruit volunteers in support of corporate and strategic initiatives and events, such as pilottesting for technology rollout, projectspecific change agents, meeting facilitator, event planning committee, etc.
  • A postsecondary education in Psychology, Sociology, Human Resources, Organizational Behaviour Management or similar field.
  • A minimum 3+ years of change management experience, including change impact analysis, stakeholder engagement, resistance management, user adoption reinforcement and other change design interventions.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools; Change management certification is considered an asset (e.g. Prosci Certification).
  • Experience in developing change management programs and plans, which may include training and communication.
  • Experience in training and coaching in change management principles and practices.
  • Strong meeting and group facilitation skills.
  • Experience in building credibility with project stakeholders and managing client relationships and expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
