About the role
As a Site Foreman/woman at Voyager Buildings, you'll be a crucial leader guiding, BAS installers in the field. Leveraging your field experience, you will actively participate in installations while managing the installation team and troubleshooting activities. Your responsibilities will include ensuring project excellence with a hands-on approach to Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC).


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and actively participate in field installations alongside contractors, ensuring adherence to project plans.
  • Contribute to project scope and installation designs, drawing on your licensed journeyman experience.
  • Review BAS project drawings for alignment with mechanical drawings, specifications, scope, and field conditions.
  • Efficiently manage project budgets, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Provide effective oversight to field staff, actively participating in troubleshooting and ensuring projects exceed quality standards.
  • Review and prepare accurate project estimations for competitiveness.
  • Create project installation schedules, actively participating in managing timelines and staff coordination.
  • Demonstrate expertise in building automation systems, performing installations, and handson troubleshooting.
  • Design and oversee the implementation of building automation systems, including wiring and configuration.
  • Ensure successful project delivery from conception to completion.

Additional Information

  • This role offers a unique hybrid work environment, allowing both remote and onsite responsibilities, based in Toronto.

Qualifications

  • Licensed journeyman with relevant qualifications in building automation or related field.
  • 4+ years of installation and troubleshooting experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in effectively managing building automation projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building automation systems and their components.
  • Ability to design and implement automation systems, including wiring.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget oversight and managing field staff.
  • Exceptional organizational and timemanagement abilities.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
  • Valid G license and access to a vehicle.
