BRIEF:


Responsible for directing the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plan, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand vertical markets, and accomplish financial objectives.

Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers by
:


- Developing a strategic road map for organic and inorganic profitable growth including the due diligence for new strategic business segments and units
:


  • Implementing the new business development strategy, including the development of a profitable growth formula and the fostering of collaboration, cultural assimilation, and the use of a common framework for any new business units.

- Aligning the new business development strategy with the MSC customer model
:


- Providing visionary and direct leadership of the Strategic Account Representative team focused on hiring, coaching, developing, and rewarding performance, while fostering account customer acquisition and promoting accountability within the team
:


- Supporting the customer sales process and engaging in negotiation and relationship support up to the customers' "C" Suite Level to create winning partnerships and increasing lifetime value

- Partnering with Senior Sales Management to drive profitable growth across MSC Canada
:


  • Implementing of special projects aimed to new business and segments development.
  • This position will be responsible for over 100+ associates ramping up within the first three years and based in the development of the organic and inorganic strategy.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Develops, manage, implement and/or integrates new national business strategic business segments and special projects, while ensuring such strategy is aligned with overall MSC's core business strategy, mission statement and culture.
  • Develop and align business development model to support the Managed Assembly Consumables and Metalworking Category annual growth plan aligning strategies for the MSC Canada's core business.
  • Develop ROI and profitability models with support of Finance to support proposed investments to meet current and future requirements for Business Development.
  • Directs business development team to achieve incremental sales and contribution margin growth goals across Core account prospects and newly signed accounts. Proactively anticipates business changes and targets additional prospects to meet annual budget.
  • Supports negotiation and financial modeling to align with senior customer contacts up to the "C" Suite to establish profitable wins across the core business.
  • Establishes ideal customer profile criteria in line with customer segmentation strategies. Effectively manages and communicates funnel of opportunities and forecasts revenue and profit contributions accordingly.
  • Controls, monitors, and approves capital investment in new customers and financial acceleration programs to ensure ethical and proper deployment of company finances.
  • Presents new business updates and strategies regularly to Sr. level leadership within the organization.
  • Align customer development across all MSC Canada business entities to forge one go to market strategy using best practices from all organizations.
  • Effectively leads and manages the sales process utilizing established CRM best practices and insight sales methodology.
  • Manage the technical team, including metalworking specialist group and fluid connector specialist to drive profitable sales growth and technical metalworking and hydraulics support with identified target accounts and geographical areas.
  • Identifies and adjusts activities to meet targeted results.
  • Responsible for the measurement, key success metrics and achievement of the performance of business development, including but not limited to Strategic Business Units Strategic Account Representative team, and Technical Team (Metalworking Specialists and Fluid Connectors Specialists).
  • Responsible for driving the business development teams to meeting strategic and financial goals.
  • Responsible for managing P&L goals and ROI goals for BDE and BDR programs.
  • Align metrics to drive the right behaviors to ensure successful return on investment.
