Duties and Responsibilities
- Build upon existing human resource tools including job descriptions, competency profiles, forms and letters to improve efficiency and develop uniformity across the organization
- Communicate Corporate Human Resource Policies and Procedures across the organization and assist in implementation
- Support facility management team members and review and approve actions related to Human Resource Management
- Coordinate the resolution of specific policy related and procedural problems and inquiries
- Maintain records concerning personnelrelated data such as hires, promotions, performance appraisals
- Recommend, develop and maintain human resource, personnel, databases, software systems and manual filing systems
- Administer compensation, discretionary incentive program and performance management systems
- Evaluate company culture and provide recommendations for changes to accomplish company goals and objectives
- Monitor staff performance and attendance activities, investigate and understand causes of staff absences
- Liaise with payroll and benefits administrator regarding Maple Ridge and Edmonton payroll, RRSP and benefit administration
- Provide counsel and assistance regarding employee relations and organizational matters, including performance evaluations, disciplinary actions and termination procedures
- Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination
- Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
- Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve workrelated problems
- Coordinate Employment Equity initiatives and work with Corporate Human Resources Generalist to create annual report
- Monitor Short Term Disability leaves and work alongside Corporate HR regrading Long Term Disability leaves
- Work closely with the HR & EHS Manager regarding work related injuries and leaves
- Assist HR & EHS Manager to support EHS initiatives
- Maintain both hard and digital copies of employees' records.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
- College or university degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years of related work experience
- Knowledge of applicable legislation, including federal and provincial (AB and BC) regulations
- Knowledge of payroll an asset
- Working knowledge of dispute resolution processes and working experience
- Ability to effectively manage time and ability to shift focus as required

$60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
