We are currently looking for an Operations Team Lead to join us in making vacation dreams come true. The Operations department runs 365 days, and team members work rotating 12hrs shifts, 4 on and 4 off. The Operations Team Lead would ensure continuity as tasks move from shift to shift.

In addition, the Operation Team Lead would bridge any gaps between information sharing and prevent any misinterpretations of expected results and deadlines.

The OTL will provide training and on-going support to junior members of the team as well as having specific responsibilities around APPR, GDS and Epackages in addition to the general Operations Agent responsibilities.

What You'll Do:


  • Responsible for tracking and assigning schedule changes, flight consolidations/cancelations to the Operations Support Agents.
  • Reviewing all fight schedule changes and flight cancellations against potential APPR implications by ensuring legislated timeframes are met and regulated customer compensation is prevented
  • Monitor and track from issuance to completion, all schedule changes including customer advisements/acceptance with emphasis on ensuring blocked inventory is released to maximize sales potential
  • Source best flight alternatives for customer reprotection in the case of over bookings while balancing the customer experience and commercial impact to the company.
  • Working with ATPCO, Innovata & Sabre required for the creating, filing & managing GDS fare rules & fare classes and for filing of flight schedules and flight schedule changes/cancellations
  • Coordinating with Payload & Costing ensuring GDS pricing concurs with TTS
  • Monitor and action schedule changes related to epackage bookings and ensure communication of the same
  • Manage any GDS and epackage related queries and issues
  • Documentation of GDS & epackage process and policies
  • Act as the SME on all projects having a GDS and epackage component or impact
  • Investigate APPR refund claims guaranteeing all are completed within 30 days of receipt safeguarding the company from potential fines levied by the Canadian Transport Association.
  • Review schedule changes and set priorities based on departure dates, & APPR requirements.
  • Deliver training for all new hires and ongoing training support as processes & policy changes dictate
  • Review, manage and update training materials and modules
  • Point of contact & resource person for all matters related to maintenance of the Operations department SharePoint

What You'll Need:
  • Travel industry experience and/or Travel & Tourism program certification required
  • Selfmotivated with effective time management and communication skills
  • Detailed oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking
  • Working knowledge of TTS
  • Knowledge of GDS, OAG and schedule airfare requirements
  • Sound understanding and interpretation of APPR regulations & guidelines
