The responsibility of a sales associate is to provide prompt, courteous and efficient service to customers, advising them on appropriate merchandise and related items; processing transactions (cash, credit card, debit card, etc.) using retail software, ticketing and replenishing merchandise in your assigned department, general housekeeping of shelves and displays, loss prevention, merchandising, putting out stock from order days.
