WHAT THE ROLE IS:

The Warehouse Cleaner will ensure the warehouse is kept clean of garbage, debris, and clutter. You will maintain a regular cleaning schedule of the warehouse, complete work requests and general upkeeping following HACCP procedures.

SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS:

SHIFT 1: Sunday to Thursday 5:30am to 2:00pm
SHIFT 2: Tuesday to Saturday 5:30am to 2:00pm

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Maintain current knowledge of and promote food safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Maintain clean, safe environment throughout the production/warehouse facility in accordance with sanitation schedule and other company policies. Conduct and maintain Sanitation documentation and records as needed.
Ensure all areas of the warehouse are maintained to the highest standards, including pulling pallets, and cleaning behind racking, emptying garbage and food waste bins, cleaning drainage traps, floors, walls, structures, and general housekeeping of the facility as directed.
Remove and properly dispose of trash, corrugate, pallets, scrap product, containers, etc.
Assist with maintaining the company pest control program.
Perform all work in a safe manner using appropriate signage and safety items based on the work being performed.

REQUIREMENTS:

Maintains forklift and pallet jack certification. (Islands West to Provide)
Ability to safely bend, twist and lift to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
Ability to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift.
Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.
Must have valid work authorization in Canada.
As this role is onsite, you must currently reside in Victoria, BC.
