Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, maintenance, and improvement of all operational excellence training materials and supporting documents
- Facilitation and coaching of frontline leaders & their teams in simple problemsolving methods such as PDCA/PDSA to allow them to solve problems and engage their teams in continuous improvement.
- Facilitation and coaching of frontline leaders through monthly unit performance meetings
- Facilitation and coaching of frontline leaders & their teams in daily management practices including huddles, visual management practices, process performance indicators, issue management, standard work, rootcause problem solving, and leader standard work.
- Facilitation and coaching of standard work team members including supporting creation of a governance model, coaching methodology for standards (such as the T.W.I. model), and process confirmation by frontline leaders.
- Research and implement innovative methodologies to address operational process redesign for assigned projects.
- Analyze current practices and provide recommendations for enhancing programs, processes and technologies to ensure continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and lead the efforts of assigned project members in all project endeavours, including the implementation and sustainment of assigned projects.
- Develop plans to communicate strategies and implementation tactics.
- Participate in developing project metrics and monitor results against established benchmarks in evaluating effectiveness and impact.
- Work with black belts and project/program managers to identify crossprocess and tool dependencies.
- Coordinate and perform indepth meetings and workshops to identify current and future state processes improvements.
- Use datadriven methodology, identify the business landscape and develop actionable opportunities.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources for improvement recommendations.
- Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications to all stakeholders to ensure issues and solutions are agreed to and understood by all impacted business units.
- Process optimization, including process mapping, VSM, time and motion studies
- Employ Lean Six Sigma DMAIC methodology and analytics in endtoend value stream mapping; extract and analyze data and perform statistical analysis to identify opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Analytics, or related discipline.
- Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent.
- Advanced Lean and/or Six Sigma training (e.g. Green Belt).
- Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) certification is an asset.
- Five years of related experience with Lean or Six Sigma, driving transformational change in a large and highly complex organization that involves Operational Excellence, Program Management, Process Engineering, or a blend of these disciplines, including at least one year in a Green Belt capacity.
- Other combinations of education, training and experience may be considered.
