Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for a
Temporary Full-time Manager Clinical Program (12 months) to become part of our
Birthing Unit leadership cohort.


Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Program Director, the Manager:

  • Delivers efficient, effective, and safe patient services through adept management of human, financial, and environmental resources.
  • Advocates a patient-centered care model founded on best practices, program and corporate standards, and continuous quality enhancement.
  • Fosters a professional practice ambiance and facilitates an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and community partners to devise, implement, and oversee the provision of patient and family-centered programs and services.
  • Leads the advancement of objectives and goals of the
    Birthing Unit within the institution and reinforces the strategic priorities of the program and organization.
  • Guides and supports staff in navigating smoothly through change processes.
  • Manages all facets of employee relations such as recruitment, retention, attendance, and performance management in collaboration with Human Resources and Labour Relations.
  • A track record of exceptional attendance and disciplinary adherence is essential.

Requirements:


  • Current enrollment with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is mandatory.
  • Minimum of five years pertinent clinical experience and a minimum of three years in leadership roles within an acute care setting.
  • Proficiency in effective critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving within a fast-paced, intricate, and ever-evolving environment.
  • Proficiency in driving change, establishing proficient teams, and fostering effective collaborative relationships.
  • Proficiency in strategic planning, project management, and optimal resource management and utilization.
  • A track record of outstanding attendance and compliance with regulations is necessary.
