We are seeking passionate, creative and dynamic individuals with an above average work ethic to join our Retail Manufacturing Team in the Décor Department.
POSITION:
Plastics Fabricator / Carpenter / Assembler / CNC Operator
NUMBER OF POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
5
LOCATION:
Paris, Ontario (new 100,000 sq. / ft. facility)
REPORTS TO:
Décor Department Supervisor
WAGE:
Based on experience including benefits
Dayshift or afternoon shift available.
- 35 years of experience in a plastics or signage manufacturing environment
- Experienced with plastics and/or woodworking machinery and associated hand tools
- Experience in fabricating acrylics and other related plastic materials
- Experience working with laminates, veneers and other laminated products
- Comfortable operating machine tools, pneumatic nail guns and measuring equipment
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and follow work instruction details
- Knowledge of materials, hardware and signage manufacturing methodology
- Ability to work well with other team members
- A strength for problem solving and working with tight deadlines
- Ability to work safely, identify hazards and follow safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned by management
Additional skills that would be an asset:
- Tow motor license
- Cabinet / fixture / signage installation experience
- Experience with continuous improvement and lean manufacturing
- Experience operating CNC routers and panel saws
