Appraisers to join our growing team

If you have experience with total loss settlements, vehicle valuations, appraisals, or the used cars sales market - we would like to learn more about you

In the role of Vehicle Valuation Specialist (Total Loss Appraiser), you will be responsible for determining the actual cash value of our insured's total loss vehicle, present and negotiate the settlement offer while providing expert advice to our insured on the specifications affecting the valuation and the used car market.

Locations - Ottawa, Mississauga, London, Ajax.

What you will do here:

Utilize your indepth knowledge of vehicle specifications to establish a fair market value for our insured's total loss vehicle
Effectively explain the factors impacting the decision to consider the vehicle a total loss and the factors affecting the valuation of our insured's vehicle
Present the settlement offer and negotiate to ensure a fair and reasonable offer is provided to our insured
Demonstrate a proven ability to deliver a second to none customer experience through effective communication and attention to detail
Support with complex valuations on nonstandard equipment
Report up to management on trends and results as required
Act as a success partner to onboarding staff members
Support with first level escalations as required

What you bring to the table:
years experience in the vehicle appraisal, automotive vehicle sales, total loss valuation, or collision repair/ estimating industry

An in depth knowledge of the specifications of vehicles and the used car sales market
Must be customer driven and have exceptional ability to negotiate
Knowledge of total loss or auto adjusting experience an asset
Strong verbal communication skills and good written communication skills
Be computer proficient
Automotive Technical Certification is considered an asset
College Diploma, University Degree or equivalent Trade's person license is an asset
