Duties and responsibilities (include and are not limited to):

  • Assists the Quality Assurance Person in managing the Quality Management System. Ensure the efficiency of a Quality Management System for all activities.
  • Write, review, and update SOPs and policies to ensure continuous compliance.
  • Ensures and monitors adherence to all facility SOPs relating to current GPP and other applicable regulations: including but not limited to, Change Controls, Deviations, Recalls, Returns and Customer Complaints.
  • Ensures and enforces Good Documentation Practices on all applicable documents relating to GPPs.
  • Review of batch records
  • Responsible for training of site management and employees on applicable SOPs and GPPrelated topics. Responsibilities include the planning, execution, and maintenance of employee training records as well as testing to ensure training effectiveness.
  • Participate in internal and external audits for Health Canada, GPP, and other regulatory bodies. This includes addressing issues and preparing response reports.
  • Monitor supplier performance. Work with operations to resolve quality issues with production inputs.
  • Oversee sampling of raw materials and finished goods for testing and retention purposes, when applicable.
  • Complete all other tasks related to the position, as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager or Head of QA/QC.

Qualifications/competencies:


  • Preference for a Bachelor of Science Degree (BSc) in a relevant field or equivalent work experience. Such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Medicine, Dentistry or Veterinary Medicine
  • New graduates welcome
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Capable of multitasking with mínimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to strict protocols.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the cannabis industry.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • A strong passion for problemsolving is essential.
  • Energetic and motivated individuals with a keen interest in the evolving cannabis industry.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance practices in the cannabis industry is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of GMP,GPP, ISO 9001, and Health Canada cannabis regulations.
  • Excellent English communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Able to successfully obtain a clear criminal record check.
  • Previous Health Canada Security clearance and work experience with a Canadian license holder is an asset.
  • Must be 19+

Schedule:

- *This is a rotating shift*- 8-hour shift with potential OT

  • Day shift (8:00 am 4:30 pm)
  • Night shift (12:00 pm 8:30 pm)

Education:


  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Experience:


  • Similar work: 2 years (preferred)
  • Or new grad with interim practice in a similar industry.
