Description
We are looking for a hardworking Clerical Sales Assistant to join our team full time Your main responsibility will be to assist our sales team by collecting and organizing all relevant information necessary for the sales team to follow-up on projects of current and future clients.
Full training will be provided. We are looking to fill this role on a long-term basis.Needed Background:
- Must have previous sales experience.
- Min. 612 months of experience providing customer service or inside sales support for commercial team or similar
- Previous industrial or B2B sales experience sold direct or through representation is preferred
Essential Functions, tasks and Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate detailed information on the various products and services provided by the company to our established and potential customers in a positive and informative manner.
- Protect the company's value and integrity by maintaining confidentiality.
- Demonstrate skill in all phases of the sales cycle followingup with current and future customers:
- Create files for each project, organize all relevant project information into an easily understandable document and send documents to our Sales Team
- Generate interest in new business through Direct outreach to customers & cold calling
- Coordinate joint sales calls with vendors and senior sales staff
- Provide timely updates: Prepare weekly / monthly / quarterly / yearly sales & other reports(AR, etc.) update CRM
- Occasionally attend sales meetings & visit clients as needed
- Be available for training and other activities, must be teachable by being a good listener and willing to continually learn new skills

Skill Required:
o Proficient at gathering market intelligence and follow up of projects
Compile & organize data on DOTs, MOTs, steel prices, competitors' prices
- Excellent customer service as well as both verbal and written communication skills
- Problem resolution skills, and have strong critical thinking skills
- Detail Oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong Communication and Team work ethic
- Must be able to follow instructions, and multitask in fastpaced environment with shifting priorities
- Proficient level of computer skills; MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, SharePoint) and Sales Force or equivalent sales package ability to learn new software quickly. Experience with CRM software is preferred.
- Consistently perform the following tasks diligently & efficiently:
through the following methods:
- Leverage online sources (company website & social media),
- Coordinate with Marketing and other Sales colleagues in the execution of commercial strategy
- Contribute to the postcampaign team huddles to review successes and failures
- Field inbound customer communication to help with their aftermarket needs
- Collect & compile customer satisfaction survey & other info as needed
- Perform other administrative tasks as directed
- Create estimates for agents & send them to clients
- Convert estimates to invoices, when client's PO is confirmed & received
- Followup & report on shipment status o Must be able to set and accomplish goals, and work independently without direct supervision. o Must present a professional appearance & a friendly and outgoing demeanor
Education Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Must possess good basic math skills, basic knowledge of Finance employment
- Able to work Monday
- Friday during regular business hours
Language:
English/French (both important)
Work location:
Dorval Office (but local travel is to be expected)
Salary:
$33,000.00 to $36,000.00 /Year + bonus (based on Company & individual performance)
