They will be responsible for all mechanical equipment at the plant and performing preventative and corrective maintenance on all existing machinery, Forklifts and Bobcats.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Do all maintenance activities at the plant.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
- Monitor spare parts inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Maintain mechanical systems of plant to ensure functionality.
- Make and implement all preventive maintenance plans.
- Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
- Maintain all forklifts, bobcats skid stairs, Load lifters and Sweeper.
- Ensure that the designated plant is fit for purpose and provides proactive support/solutions when required.
- Ensure health and safety policies are complied with the Company.
- All other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High School or Technical Mechanical Diploma.
- 3 to 5 years' experience with heavy equipment such as roll crushers, finger crushers, compressors, elevators, and motors.
- Extensive knowledge of bearings and gear boxes, forklifts, Bobcats, preventive maintenance, spare parts, and vendor management.
- Basic welding skills are an asset.
- Experience with forklift or Bobcat operation is required. Certification is an asset.
