Duties:
- Contribute to the development of analysis methods and evaluation techniques.
- Contribute to the development of new methods and techniques.
- Contribute to the data collection and analysis.
- Provide laboratory or field support within research programs.
- Carry out research activities in the laboratory or in the field.
- Assist in the maintenance of research equipment.
Work environment:
The Quebec Research and Development Centre concentrates its research work in two areas: soil-water-air resources and field crops such as forage crops.
More specifically, the Research Centre's employees are actively working on genetic improvement and the management of forage crops for Eastern Canada.
In addition, the Quebec Research and Development Centre sees to the development of forage and cereal production methods adapted to the context of sustainable agriculture.

Education:
Currently enrolled full-time in a program leading to a diploma, bachelor's or master's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution (College, CEGEP or University) with specialization in one of the following fields:
Agronomy;
Agricultural Sciences;
Plant Sciences;
Biology;
Bio-ecology Technology
Bioscience Technology;
Chemistry;
Environmental Sciences;
Environmental Technology;
Hydrology
Natural Resources;
Soil Science;
Programming;
Data science;
A related science program or other related fields.
Degree equivalency
Experience:
Experience* in conducting laboratory or field experiments OR in programming.
- In the context of student recruitment in the Federal Public Service, the experience can be acquired through the studies, work experience, or volunteer activities.

Reliability Status security clearance - Each student hired through the Research Affiliate Program (RAP) must meet the security requirements of the position as a condition of employment, and therefore will be asked by the hiring organization to complete security-relevant documents.
Ability and willingness to control allergies, through the use of personal protective equipment and/or medication without impinging on the duties to be performed.
Ability and willingness to work for long periods in laboratory, greenhouse or field where appropriate safety measures are in place.
Ability and willingness to work outdoors under various weather conditions, and to be exposed to stinging insects.Ability and willingness to be in contact with hazardous materials, where the usual safety measures are in place.
