We are looking for an organized self-starter to join our Store Operations team.
Reporting to the Store Set-Up Manager, the Set-Up Crew Lead is responsible for coordinating and merchandising at all renovations and new store openings across Canada.
Job Duties:
- Merchandise sections as per planograms and/or freehand following merchandising standards and direction from the Store Set-Up Manager
- Assists in the setup of fixtures/assets
- Responsible for a team of on site outside merchandisers and their work
- Label sections as per current merchandising standards
- Ability to communicate between Store Set-Up Manager and onsite Management team
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors, dependent on project
- Complete all paperwork required for each store activity worked on
- Receive, log and verify merchandise and/or fixtures where necessary as determined by Store Set-Up Manager
- Reset categories as new items get listed (this would be done in current stores most often)
- Assist operations with any realign help needed in corporate or franchise locations ( on request)
- Work on shelving needs for specific categories that may differ from current
- Attend a store a day or 2 before set up begins to put shelves in place and prep the store
- Help gather info and create lists and charts that we use within the set up department
- Various tasks asked for by other departments (ex. buying re. displays or real estate re. shelving questions)
- Projects are located across Canada and compensation is provided for travel costs
Qualifications:
- Secondary School Diploma
- Previous Retail Merchandising experience required
- Previous retail experience an asset
- Must have a valid Driver's License and access to a reliable car
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral/written communication skills
- Strong organizational/prioritization skills and experience handling a varied workload
- High attention to detail is required
- Must be willing to travel, dependent on location of projects up to 70%
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure in a detail driven environment
- Experience with managing the workload of others and being a team player
