We are currently looking to hire an up and coming Financial Analyst with at least 1-2 years of costing experience in a finance operations or manufacturing environment._


Reporting to the Manager, Finance Operations, the Financial Analyst will be responsible for reporting and analyzing weekly operations results and customer/product profitability for use by management in controlling and monitoring efficiencies and margins.

The position will support cross-functional teams on various projects in identifying areas for change and making recommendations while managing multiple demands and competing priorities.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the team and other departments during the monthly and annual forecasting/budgeting process; tasks such as compiling cost of goods and Overhead Reports to Operations team. Analyzing material waste factors and determining labour standards
  • Provide sales and margin analysis on products and customers as needed
  • Report, analyze and compile weekly operations result's and support team in understanding drivers.
  • Responsible for various month end activities, ensuring proper documentation is prepared and ready for review. Prepare Inventory reconciliations and valuation reports.
  • Responsible for tracking CI savings which pertain to: CAPEX savings, material waste reductions, and standard cost/labour efficiency validations, and be accountable for their completion.
  • Suggest process improvements to achieve greater efficiency while maintaining accuracy

Recipe for success:


  • Completion of university degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field of study
  • Minimum 12 years of previous experience in an finance/accounting role
  • Preferred previous experience in a CPG environment
  • Working towards or completed CPA designation
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), adapting message to suit stakeholder group.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize in a fastpaced growth environment.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills including Pivots and Formula/Functions experience preferred
  • Indepth knowledge and understanding of balance sheets, ledger entries, etc.
  • Strategic mindset to create proactive strategies for the company
  • Proficient in ERP systems, with experience with Navision/Visual a plus
  • Proven initiative and willingness to drive change, with a focus on innovation, process improvement, and solving problems
  • High degree of professionalism, ethics, and integrity
  • Sound judgement and good analytical skills, as well as excellent research skills
