Project Manager with a background in IT and/or Engineering and an astute business sense.
The
Project Manager will manage the complexities of several ongoing and future projects simultaneously, working with a broader team to ensure timelines are adhered to and project deliverables are met.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business and IT leadership to develop a welldefined project plan that clearly states the project's objectives, scope, assumptions, timeline, resource requirements, risks, benefits, and budget.
- Work with business and client to develop a project organization structure with clearly defined roles and responsibilities for all stakeholders.
- Oversees all phases of projects from inception through completion.
- Oversee Request for Proposal (RFP) development & submission.
- Acts as primary contact for project activities always aware of the who, what, where & when.
- Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies project problems, and works to find solutions.
- Organize and attend all project meetings, preparing and providing necessary materials.
- Liaise with business functions to understand ongoing needs.
- Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Acts as advisor to the project team regarding tasks and operations.
- Contribute to and uphold a positive public image and culture.
- Mentor and coach team members in a manner that fosters a culture of growth, development, and continuous improvement.
- Document all project activities, processes, and procedures.
- Guide and coordinate the work of consultants and contractors.
Qualifications
- Completion of a bachelor's degree in a related field such as Commerce or Science with a business major/minor
- Project Management Certificate (PMP)
- Minimum 8 years direct experience in project management
- Change management certification (Prosci, etc) would be an asset.
- Direct experience in Asana an asset
- Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams in the delivery of projects
- Proven planning and organizational skills
- Experience managing and working with external consultants.
- A multitasker who can navigate a variety of projects with ease you have no problem getting things done.
- A leader who knows how to motivate a team to get results.
- Passionate about sharing forwardthinking ideas and strives for continuous improvement.
- Solutions driven with experience solving complex and sensitive issues.
- Able to influence and foster an environment of shared accountability.
- Eager to develop strong relationships and work in a collaborative manner. A natural presenter with strong verbal and written communication skills.
