THE POSITION:

The

Office Administrative Assistant/General Book Keeper role is responsible for providing front office support to the School Administration and Accounting Teams.

  • Fulltime
  • Monday to Friday (8 AM 4 PM).
  • Benefits available after successful completion of a probationary period include Extended group health, dental and medical benefits, RRSP group plan, sick/personal and discretionary days, vacation time & stat holidays, maternity leave topup after a set employment period, etc.
  • Start date: immediately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • General bookkeeping activities (working to support our School Accountant).
  • Entering new employee information into our SIS system.
  • Entering new student registration information onto our SIS system.
  • Office Support filing, data entry, etc.
  • Performa other office duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE and SKILLS:


  • Work experience in an educational environment is preferable.
  • Comfort working with technology such as the Google Suite of products, SIS systems (EDSEMBLI is our inhouse platform), Excel (spreadsheet manipulation), and Word. This includes a willingness to learn on and about a variety of other techbased systems.
  • Ability to manage the workload independently and to ask questions for clarification.
  • Excellent people skills; ability to deal with a range of stakeholders from parents, students, teachers, administrators, professional partners, and outside organizations.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential an ability to prioritize and multitask is a must.
  • Entrylevel bookkeeping skills are an asset.
  • French and/or 2nd language capabilities are a benefit.
  • Willingness to grow in the role.
