Description
Responsibilities/duties include but not limited to:
- Answering phones
- Client education
- Administering care to in house and hospitalized patients under veterinarian direction
- Restraining patients for examinations and diagnostics
- Daily upkeep of the clinic
- Inventory
- Using avimark to book appointments, make estimates and charge clients out
- Handling samples (blood, urine, feces etc)
- Surgery preparation and assistance
- Dispensing medications
- Opening and closing clinic
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Certificate from an accredited college for the veterinary assistant program
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Proficient computer skills using excel and avimark
- Previous clinic experience an asset
- Knowledge of animal nutrition, flea and tick prevention
- Able to lift 50lbs
- Client communication skills
Job Types:

Salary:
From $16.00 per hour
