Position Summary


As a member of the Research Laboratory team, you will play an integral role in the advancement of Research at UHN.

The Glasswashing department at PMH ensures that researchers at provided a highly efficient and reliable service that they require to successfully do their work.


Duties

  • Daily collection of used glassware from PM research labs
  • Loading and unloading laboratory grade washers
  • Prepping items for autoclaving (wrapping, autoclave controls)
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance tests
  • Monitor sterilization equipment to ensure cycles are performed properly
  • Run liquid autoclave cycles for research labs
  • Document all daily activity for KPI and billing purposes

Qualifications

  • At minimum, a completion of high school, or recognized equivalent
  • Ability to work alone and in team environment
  • Previous experience in Sterilization is highly desirable.
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job: able to lift to 10 kg, loading, and unloading carts; pushing carts during pick up and delivery of carts
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance with UHN standards
  • Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Required to be available to work morning shifts
