Position Summary

As a member of the Research Laboratory team, you will play an integral role in the advancement of Research at UHN.

The Glasswashing department at PMH ensures that researchers at provided a highly efficient and reliable service that they require to successfully do their work.

Duties

Daily collection of used glassware from PM research labs
Loading and unloading laboratory grade washers
Prepping items for autoclaving (wrapping, autoclave controls)
Conduct quality control and quality assurance tests
Monitor sterilization equipment to ensure cycles are performed properly
Run liquid autoclave cycles for research labs
Document all daily activity for KPI and billing purposes

Qualifications

At minimum, a completion of high school, or recognized equivalent
Ability to work alone and in team environment
Previous experience in Sterilization is highly desirable.
Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job: able to lift to 10 kg, loading, and unloading carts; pushing carts during pick up and delivery of carts
Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance with UHN standards
Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Required to be available to work morning shifts
