- New hires go through an intensive 11-week paid training program which includes classroom and field training. CN offers competitive training wages and covers expenses for transportation, accommodation, and meals in Winnipeg.
- Assets include education or experience in rail operations and possessing a valid driver's license.
- New employees who relocate after training will receive incentives such as accommodation and relocation allowances.

CN Rail offers a great incentive package for newly hired Train Conductors to move to Prince George, BC. This is a full-time and permanent position.

Conductors work in teams of two or three, handling tasks related to train, rail car, and locomotive movement in rail yards and on the tracks.
They organize train formation, perform ground tasks outside the locomotive cab (like operating track switches, moving rail cars, and conducting emergency repairs).
The job responsibilities are:
After training, candidates will complete a minimum of 45 trips with a crew to enhance their skills.
Completion of the training program is required to work as a Conductor and involves exams and field training.
Working as a Conductor requires a flexible schedule with regular attendance, adapting to the 24/7 railroading environment, working outdoors in various conditions, and meeting medical fitness requirements.
Other responsibilities include operating devices on rail cars, climbing ladders, and passing safety exams.
