Description
This shunt schedule runs four days on followed by four days off. Shift is 0600 to 1830, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

  • Hourly rate: $22.25
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Hours of work might change from time to time according to operational demands
  • Reporting directly to Yard Supervisor then Director of Fleet Maintenance
  • Essential responsibilities are trailer movement, trailer staging, trailer quickchecks, and trailer greasing, along with other general shop/yard duties
  • Responsible for operation of the forklift and assisting on the dock when needed. Training will be provided.
  • Works closely with the Shunt Coordinator, Yard Supervisor, Fleet Maintenance Manager, city dispatch, maintenance and the warehouse on daily shunting activities
  • Company Driver residing in Mississauga or immediate area
  • Tractortrailer over the road driving experience, minimum 12 months
  • Well organized and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations
  • Valid Class 1/AZ License is required
  • Reliable, flexible, and punctual
