Reporting to the Estimating Team Lead, an Estimator is responsible for determining projects costs including but not limited to labour, supplied, materials, and preparing reports to support the determined data.

Responsibilities

Estimate costs of construction projects for single family homes
Read blueprints and interpret information accurately
Prepare and complete take off from blueprints and projects specifications for new and existing models
Review plans, issue budgets and purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner as per production time line
Monitor and manage job change orders, issues purchase orders, and communicate any changes to the appropriate parties
Maintain awareness on building codes, regulations changes, and construction techniques
Assist to preparing job specifications, and ensure the specifications are updated, maintained and accurate
Review costs for labour and materials on an ongoing basis, make sure costs and budgets remain maintained and accurate
Prepare and post budgets to required parties
See all projects through from start to completion
Provide excellent customer service internally and externally by developing strong positive relationships with trade partners
Maintain base model and optional assemblies
Demonstrate ability to resolve construction concerns in a team environment
Additional tasks as required
