The
Production Prep cook is responsible for preparing high volumes of different food items in accordance with production requirements and quality standards for a variety of customers.
Responsibilities_
- High volume preparation of ingredients according to schedule to be ready for assembly to use.
- Maintaining quality of prepared ingredients according to recipes and callouts
- Ensure food safety program and production documentation is completed accurately and diligently.
- Ensures food preparation and storage areas are clean, organized, and arranged for easy FIFO ingredient usage.
- Proper labeling procedures to be followed.
- Reporting any ingredients, packaging, and chemicals that are about to run out.
- Reporting needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to supervisor immediately
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
- Assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies as required.
- Attends inservice and safety meetings.
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Work will be performed in ambient, refrigerated, and freezer areas.

- Shift Requirement: Must be flexible to work mornings and afternoons, including weekends.
Qualifications_
- 2 years of experience in High Volume Food Production environment preferred.
- Has worked with produce previously and understands food quality.
- Strong culinary background
- Understanding of largescale production and assembly
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Ability to lift to 50 lb.
- Understanding of HACCP and basic food safety standards
- Fluent English (written & verbal)
