Caseworker Generalist - Floater Position

Full Time Position (40 hours/week)

Term Position: 12 months

McMan has an exciting opportunity for a
Caseworker Generalist position to support multiple programs within our organization. These programs support caregivers with children 0-18 years and youth aged 15-24 years of age and adults.

This position will be allocated to specific programs where there is an existing staff vacancy and will provide short-term support to youth, adults and families.

Within each program the role will look slightly different and is intended to be flexible and responsive in meeting the various needs of the respective program or client demographic.

There is the potential for this position to become permanent should a vacancy become available in a specific program.

Hours of Work:

Shifts will vary and could be a combination of days, evenings, nights and weekends depending on where the greatest program need is determined.


  • Diploma/Degree in Human Services
  • 3 or more years of direct experience working with both families and youth is an asset
  • Direct experience working with children, youth, adults and families from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Experience working with at risk individuals experiencing complex needs (domestic violence, mental health, addictions, homelessness and Children's Services status)
  • Strong working knowledge of child/youth development and parenting skills
  • Strong working knowledge of housing first, homeless sector and harm reduction
  • Insight and understanding related to trauma, grief and loss
  • Understanding and ability to work with numerous social service systems, community and professional resources
  • Solid written, organizational and case management skills
  • Strong interpersonal, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of the Natural Supports Framework would be an asset
  • Current standard First Aid Certification, Suicide Intervention Training, Current Police and Child Intervention checks
  • Valid Driver's license and adequate insurance coverage.

Salary Range:
$52,615.00 to $58,461.00
