Description
Currently pursuing or have previously completed Teacher's College degree, OCT or OCT pending an added asset- Familiarity with the current Ontario Curriculum
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- On time, selfmotivated, and reliable
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening or willingness to get one
- Excellent work ethics and be punctual
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for teaching individuals/small groups of students
- Classroom management: prepare coursework materials, homework assignments, and handouts
- Evaluate the student's class work and assignments (i.e. grade tests, lab reports and other assignments)
- Offer advice on further learning and progression opportunities to students as required
- Provide students with feedback in line with the faculty assessment systems
- Create individualized lesson plans to meet identified learning goals
- Communicate with director, students, and parents on ongoing basis to share student progress
- Update lesson note to OAKLearning system after each teaching/tutoring session
